This place had possibly my favourite dish in Singapore, unexpectedly, a seafood crackling rice soup. Simple, flavourful, crunchy and delicious, it was a comforting rice soup on a whole other level. Other dishes were very Instagram worthy, including buns shaped as roses, chicken and pigs (although surprisingly they was all sweet not savoury), a pig shaped jelly, sweet and sour pork with dry ice, mahjong shaped jellies, and much more. Very cute! Highlights included the dessert ‘pig’ jelly, the truffle dumpling, the ‘rose’ buns with condensed milk, and the numbing spice stir-fry chicken (which was loaded with chilli but actually wasn’t too spicy!) The rest of the dim sum probably looked better than they tasted. But the seafood crackling rice soup was so good we came back a second time anyway!
